‘Provisionally titled: The Maritime Art of War and Peace: The Proceedings of Corbett 100’ is an edited volume of papers from the Corbett 100 conference series and broader project, that explores the intellectual theoretical development of maritime strategic thought and its relationship with practical application from seabed to space for both war and peace. Featuring scholars from around the world, covering an expanse of history and questions from the development of strategy, the use of seapower, the role of navies and and understanding our maritime planet as a function in civilisation. The book also serves as a new foundation to understanding maritime strategy, the making of it and its influence on the past, present and future while introducing new work by Corbett himself.
