Seablindness and the Royal Navy after 1964
The second part of three papers that I have wrote to be published in the [UK] Naval Review Journal. This part was published online (March 2024) and in print (Spring 2024].
The Editor remarks:
With his trademark dissection of the conventional wisdom, the author argues that the concept of ‘seablindness’ is merely window dressing for the fundamental misunderstanding of the principles of British national strategy that has manifested over the last 60 years.
This paper is part of a series:
📌 ‘The Art of Admiralty’ (2023)
📌 ‘Seablindness and the Royal Navy’ (2024)
📌‘Reforge Britannia’s Trident or Close the Shop?’ (2024)
The author extends his gratitude to the editors and team at The Naval Review for publishing this series.
